Very cleverly conserved and preservated - Description of the conservation measures.

Since the last one and a half years the Mainz Gutenberg Museum has been taking conservation measures to protect their vast incunabula collection, The 3000 works of art have been packed into special custom-made boxes and cases protecting them from further decay. Annette Lang-Edwards, a book restorer at the Mainz Museum, has reported about her experiences during this time and her notes give information about the preperations for the planning a of such a measure.
