New in our product range: Photographic archival paper, 45 gsm, without an alkaline buffer

07.06.2015
KLUG-CONSERVATION has added a new photographic archival paper quality with a thickness of 45 gsm to its standard range of products: item 8102445, natural white, without an alkaline buffer. It can be used as an interleaf paper or for the production of envelopes – specially designed for long-term archiving of photographic objects.

This paper quality supplements our existing „Photographic Archival Paper“ product range, making it possible for us to now offer opaque paper qualities in the following grammage: 45 gsm, 90 gsm and 120 gsm. Due to its low surface weight and minimal thickness of approx. 0,05 mm it is inconspicuous and yet offers the necessary stability and firmness – an ideal combination of the advantages provided by the opaque paper qualities and the (semi-) transparent paper without an alkaline buffer. (also see our product range ‘Fine Paper’).

The new quality item 8102445 is:

  • pH neutral
  • without an alkaline buffer, which means it is suitable for all photographic materials
  • without optical brighteners
  • smooth on one side, making it gentle on fragile (delicate) photo layers
  • successfully PAT tested in accordance with ISO 18916:2007.

The 45 gsm-paper is available in 121 x 91 cm SG, reamed to 250 sheets per packaging unit.
